My current phase of existence…

Hi friends…

Just a week down… and it already seems like ages…
Time to spill the beans…

Today, I am writing this post sitting on this not-so-comfortable chair, yet not quetching about it. Yes, just like you all, I’m equally surprised at myself!! I guess… I had under-estimated myself… I never thought I’d ever be able to do my own laundry or clean the bed myself. But lo’ as I look at my room now… no points for guessing... its spic-and-span…Oh boy! Am I not proud of myself?!! [I wish you could see that huge grin on my face!]

Ok… now here’s the list of all new activities undertaken in the past week:

  • Shopping: Hold on… not the kind of shopping girls like doing! Rather, I went out shopping for washing detergents and other house-hold stuff! Phew… tat was quite some feat!
  • Cleaning: Yes, you heard that right! I clean my room myself everyday, irrespective of whether Hansaben is around or not! (Well Hansaben reminds me of another activity which I have indulged into oflate…. Any guesses? Well… call it a bribe or a tip…but it seems to make things easier…)
  • Attending classes: Now, for someone like me, who’s never been to college on time, this is quite an applaudable feat! However, hold on… don’t jump to conclusions so soon… I did set a record here also by skipping a tutorials class in the evening… reason? Well… I was way to sleepy and lazy at the same time to attend the session… after all after such a hard day’s work a.k.a cleaning my room, I did deserve some sleep!
  • Praying: Now that was a googly! Yes, I prayed to the rain gods and they seem to have heard my prayers… the heat here in Ahmedabad is simply unbearable… especially because there’s no AC in your room… After so many years of complaining about the weird noises my room’s AC made back home in Mumbai, I now realize it indeed was a boon… leastwise, it cooled up things!

Apart from these newer ones, the other activities that kept me busy were:
  • Making friends: Well, life is too short a time to befriend the whole world… But what the heck! I’ll keep trying!
  • Watching movies: You name a recent movie, and I guess I would’ve seen it! Alright… alright… I’ve not seen Fanaa yet… Get rid of that diabolic smile from on your faces! I’m a true optimist… It’ll be released here too... sooner or later. Keeping my fingers crossed.
  • Celebrating birthdays: Aha… occasions surely enliven your entire self… And it can’t get better when the birthday boy treats all of us at Mochas without even an iota of dissent!

Now for those of you all who were looking for something like ‘Studying’ to be there on that list... I would say… You are expecting too much out of this poor soul! There’s still time for it!

Signing off for the day… It’s a lovely Sunday evening… I dunno what’s in here for dinner tonight… but I sure know mom’s cooking chicken back home… Miss you Ma. :)

  • It sure has been ages!
I do happen to know one of the reasons for having that room clean though...atleast this for that one time.
Without doubt you did VJTI proud by skippin classes! What if its IIMA...that doesnt mean that you do not skip classes. Its a pity though that you cannot manage to do a proxy out there.
Anyone from Mumbai praying means that they are definitely desperate for the rains to arrive!
Guess that the studies bit will come towards the end of June.
I know you wouldn't like hearing this...but I had ghar kaa khaana today! hehehee
    Wondering who Hansaben is though...

welcome 2 living on ur own. Washing clothes is the real pain. Cud manage all chores at bangalore, but hated wasting weekends on washing clothes.

And it can’t get better when the birthday boy treats all of us at Mochas without even an iota of dissent!
